The victory against Napoli brings Inter to the top of the standings. At the end of the ninety minutes, coach Chivu commented on the win to the microphones of InterTV, highlighting the personality shown by the team.
“A victory for how we played and for the personality shown on the field to not lose our identity, and at 2-2 the match was as open as you rarely see in Italian football. We created important chances, both us and them, and the team that believed in it more consistently won,” said the Nerazzurri coach.
The focus now shifts to the next Champions League match. “What the Champions League represents is wonderful and the players know the emotion that stadium and that competition give you. We will find the energy we would have found regardless of tonight’s result,” Chivu concluded.
