Eight days before the start of the Serie C 2026/2027, the transfer market is still in full swing and Catania has made a move. The rossazzurri will face Inter U23 on the first day of the championship, August 23, and in view of this debut they have finalized the loan signing of Flavio Russo.
Born in Catania, Russo grew up in the youth sector of the Elephants before moving to Sassuolo. The 2004-born player has had three loan experiences in Serie B with Cesena, Entella, and Pescara, not all of them easy.
Now the 2004-born player will try to relaunch himself in Group C of Serie C, wearing the shirt of a team with top ambitions like Catania.
