Carlos Augusto commented to the microphones of Inter TV on the defeat against Real Madrid. The Brazilian defender, who scored the temporary 2-1 goal, analyzed the team’s performance at the Bernabéu.
“I want to thank my teammates, it’s never easy to play here. We tried to win, but the details make the difference,” declared Augusto. The Nerazzurri player emphasized his satisfaction with the performance, putting it on the same level as the one against Napoli.
“I’m happy with today’s performance, just like the one against Napoli. We tried until the end, we leave with our heads held high. Happy for the goal, even if it’s bittersweet. The most important thing is to win matches,” added the Brazilian. The defender wanted to highlight the character shown by the team.
“We showed character and we need to keep this in mind for the next matches. Great game, we did very well,” concluded Carlos Augusto, underlining Inter‘s performance despite the negative result.
