Hakan Calhanoglu is ready to return to the spotlight with Inter in tomorrow’s friendly against Milan, scheduled for 1 PM Italian time in Perth. Just over two weeks before the start of the championship, the Turkish playmaker is expected to reclaim his place in the midfield for the match against the Rossoneri.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Calhanoglu was already present in Hong Kong for the friendly against Manchester City, but was not fielded. Like Bonny and Sucic, the Turk had only recently become available to Chivu and had not yet regained optimal condition. In his absence, the playmaker role was filled by Aleksandar Stankovic.
The midfielder wants to start again with the Nerazzurri as he left off, as a leader, after a disappointing World Cup. The pink newspaper highlights how the player is determined to take back control of the playmaking duties, even if the next one should be his last season at Inter.
