Calhanoglu comments on the derby penalty and welcomes the new arrivals

Hakan Calhanoglu showed some good ideas in the second part of the derby in Perth between Milan and Inter, when he came onto the pitch to play his first minutes of pre-season. The Turkish midfielder took stock of the preparation period and the season’s objectives.

“We are working very hard, we are all a bit tired but the important thing is to give our best and put fuel in our legs,” he said from the sidelines. “We have to look ahead, even the next match against Juve will be tough. It will be important to start the league well.”

On the penalty that allowed the Rossoneri to equalize with Christopher Nkunku at the end, Calhanoglu expressed his point of view without wanting to argue: “We were unlucky with the penalty, everyone saw that it wasn’t there. But that’s fine, the referee awarded it.” The Turkish midfielder pointed out that the foul by Carlos Augusto did not exist.

Finally, speaking about the team’s movements, the Turk commented: “Some of my teammates have to return after their post-World Cup holidays, including Stones: everyone is welcome.”
