Inter barely had time to enjoy their victory over Empoli before returning to the field at Appiano Gentile to prepare for their next Serie A match, Sunday evening against Venezia at San Siro. For the occasion, Inzaghi hopes to have Calhanoglu and Acerbi available.
As reported by calciomercato.com, even though the two trained separately today, they did so at a fairly high pace. It is likely, then, that both will return to the group between tomorrow and Saturday, thus making their call up for the 11th Serie A matchday almost a certainty.
However, Inzaghi’s plan would not foresee their use against Venezia, unless in case of extreme emergency. On the contrary, if everything goes well, the two should have a starting spot both against Arsenal and Napoli.
