In the Sky Sport studios, just a few minutes before the kick-off of Inter–Parma, journalist Marco Bucciantini painted a picture of the Nerazzurri team, starting from the pace of a schedule that leaves little breathing room.
«It’s true that Inter has a very packed schedule,» Bucciantini acknowledged, «but the next away games are all close to Milan or even in Milan, like the derby. And the Champions League opponents are not unbeatable.» A context that, according to the journalist, downplays concerns related to the intensity of the program.
On the topic of defensive balance, the journalist preferred to look at the data rather than focus on individual episodes: «Inter also had balance problems last year, but as the season goes on, concentration will increase, as will attention. However, as long as I see Inter doing double or triple what their opponents do, I don’t feel like seeing what happens as a problem.» He then pointed to the change in goal as a significant factor: «The change of goalkeeper has had an impact, and not just because of Martinez’s mistakes, but precisely because Sommer’s presence is missing.»
There was also room for positive notes. On Marcus Thuram, Bucciantini emphasized: «Beyond Lautaro’s goals, at the Olimpico against Roma he was Inter’s best player.» On Esposito, the verdict is clear: «The last few matches have promoted him as Italy’s center forward.»
