Giuseppe Bergomi spoke to the microphones of Inter TV in the minutes before the match against Udinese, focusing on memories linked to San Siro and the 1990s. The former Nerazzurri player expressed regret about the future change of stadium.
“I remember the jersey from the 1990s very well, it’s in my memories. It’s always beautiful here, this stadium is unique, soon it will be 100 years old,” declared Bergomi. “Being here at pitchside is incredible, I experienced it as a player, now as a commentator.”
The former defender then added: “I know that soon there will be a change and I’m sorry because there are no other stadiums like this in Italy. In the 1990s, we were the Premier League, playing in Serie A in those years was exceptional.”
