During an almost perfect evening like last night, when Inter managed to score a good six goals against Lazio on the road, there is a minor blemish for Simone Inzaghi and his team, which was a topic of discussion this morning at Appiano Gentile.
It involves the physical problem suffered by Nicolò Barella during yesterday’s match at the Olimpico in Rome. In the second half of the match, the Sardinian midfielder in fact left the field, being replaced by Piotr Zielinski.
According to what was reported by Sky Sport, there is no serious muscular problem for Barella but it should only be a slight fatigue, the reason why he did not even undergo instrumental examinations to investigate this pain.
Inzaghi, however, is of the idea not to risk his number 23 for the Coppa Italia match against Udinese, giving way to other midfielders so as to have the former Cagliari player back in the best form for Monday night’s match against Como at San Siro.
Even Federico Dimarco came out a bit bruised from the match at the Olimpico but for him there are no problems of any kind as it was only cramps. Inzaghi can therefore breathe a sigh of relief looking forward to the next commitments.
