Inter leave Monza with a disappointing draw and Simone Inzaghi’s decisions are being questioned, including the rotation he used in view of the imminent double challenge against Manchester City (Wednesday) and Milan (Sunday).

The coach from Piacenza gave up several big players, including Hakan Calhanoglu, fielding Kristjan Asllani in his place who did not have a good game. The newspapers’ verdict on the Albanian’s game is clear and La Gazzetta dello Sport, already in reporting the match, says this about him: “The main culprit is Asllani, a copy not at all similar to Calhanoglu. The Turk is perhaps the only irreplaceable player in Inter’s squad, one way or another the others all have a sort of clone. Asllani does not have the personality or the drive of Calhanoglu, he was squashed in front of the defense and brought the team down, he served too many balls backwards or horizontally”.

Below are Asllani’s ratings according to the three sports newspapers and Passion Inter.

LA GAZZETTA DELLO SPORT 5 – “Inzaghi despairs, because on more than one occasion he plays backwards instead of verticalizing. Too many touches”.

CORRIERE DELLO SPORT 6 – “Good in the positioning phase, positive in the interception phase. The problem is that with the ball at his feet, he hardly tries the courageous move, often relying on conservative passes”.

TUTTOSPORT 5.5 – “He makes the team spin with decent precision but at a too slow pace”.

PASSIONE INTER 5.5 – “Touches many balls, but his direction is a bit cumbersome and not very clean. Decent presence, however, when not in possession. In the nerazzurro grey he never manages to find a spark”.
