The start of the season for Inter has been characterized by a few more difficulties than expected. The team seems to have found the right way, but there continues to be the problem of injuries, which are higher than the previous three seasons with Simone Inzaghi as coach. Here is the constantly updated list with all the physical problems encountered by the black and blue players during the 2024-25 season:

1 Acerbi: underwent surgery in June to solve pubalgia problems, missed the European Championship with Italy but returned in time for the start of the summer retreat.

2 Buchanan: fractured his tibia during training at the Copa America with Canada, in the very early days of July. His return to the squad could happen already after the October break.

3 Taremi: on August 1, in the middle of the preseason, he felt pain in the hamstring of his left thigh. He came back for the league debut against Genoa, when he played the last 15 minutes.

4 Zielinski: suffered a hamstring strain on August 4, and the Pole was forced to miss the first match against Genoa, but came back for the match against Lecce on the second matchday.

5 Arnautovic: suffered a small muscle strain in the left thigh during the friendly match with Pisa. He was on the bench against Genoa and played against Lecce for 14 minutes.

6 De Vrij: on August 9, he felt a pain in his hamstring. He missed the first two league matches, and returned to the squad for Inter-Atalanta on the third matchday.

7 Bastoni: before Chelsea-Inter on August 11, the last friendly match of the nerazzurri, he had a muscle strain that made him miss the London clash. He was already available for the Genoa match.

8 Asllani: had a muscle problem on the eve of the debut in Marassi, where he didn’t even make the bench. He was in the squad for Inter-Lecce, the following weekend.

9 Lautaro Martinez: had muscle fatigue following the Genoa-Inter match, in which he surprisingly started. He missed the home match with Lecce and returned to face Atalanta on the third matchday.

10 Calhanoglu: started having hip problems during Inter-Atalanta, but was still called up by Turkey. The coach Montella wisely used him sparingly, and upon his return he stayed on the bench for the entire match in Monza and returned as a starter with Manchester City.

11 Bastoni: also had some niggles following the match against the bergamaschi, similar to Calhanoglu, he was called up for the National team. Spalletti squeezed him for 180 minutes, he was on the bench in Monza and returned with the City.

12 Frattesi: had mild physical problems in between the matches against France and Israel during the September international break. In the first match after the break, Inzaghi fielded him as a starter in Monza.

13 Dimarco: played the entire match in Brianza after the commitment with the National team, he came out tired and missed the trip to Manchester, coming back and scoring as a starter in the derby with Milan.

14 Barella: had a muscle strain in the hamstring of his right thigh after Inter-Milan. Barella missed Udinese, Red Star, Torino and the commitments with the national team. Back training with the group, he is ready to return for Roma-Inter.

15 Thuram: suffered a hard blow to the ankle in Inter-Torino by Maripan. The Frenchman scored a hat-trick, but then had to leave the field. Deschamps called him up with France, but he missed the match with Israel and only played a few seconds against Belgium. Recovered and ready for Roma-Inter.

16 Zielinski: he was substituted in the second half of Poland-Croatia, he suffered a muscle strain in the hamstring of his right thigh. He will certainly miss out against Roma. Doubtful for the clash with Young Boys, he aims to be called up for Inter-Juventus.

17 Calhanoglu: had to leave the field in the 12th minute of Roma-Inter due to a muscle strain in the adductor of his left thigh. His condition needs to be assessed, but he is at risk of missing Inter-Juventus.

18 Acerbi: he also needed to be substituted after only 27 minutes of Roma-Inter. The Inter defender has a muscle strain in the hamstring of his left thigh. He is also at risk for the big match at San Siro.

19 Carlos Augusto: the full-back collapsed on the synthetic pitch in Bern after less than 10 minutes
