Having returned last June after a six-month loan at Monza, Tomas Palacios had the opportunity to take part in Inter’s US tour during the last Club World Cup. The defender, born in 2003, who arrived in the final days of last summer’s transfer window after a long negotiation, was unable to establish himself in his first season in Milan.

Inter, who were hoping for another coup like Bisseck, for this reason decided last January to send him on loan to Monza. It was a spell for Palacios that was not too fortunate, which started off well but was affected by a change of coach. Hence his return to the Nerazzurri and discussions with the club about his future.

The young centre-back, who quickly settled into the dressing room thanks to his friendship with captain Lautaro—with whom he spent part of his holidays—has regularly responded to Inter’s call-up and is currently taking part in the training camp at Appiano Gentile with his teammates. However, the club is at the same time working with his entourage to find solutions for his departure.

From the information we have, we can confirm that Palacios is not part of Chivu’s plans for next season. Inter is currently listening to various inquiries for the player, both from Italy and abroad, as happened last January. At this stage, the possibility of a permanent departure is almost entirely ruled out.

The Argentine, therefore, will leave on loan and will try to make a name for himself in a new experience. Once all the proposals for Palacios have been evaluated, Inter will choose the best destination in agreement with the player.
