There is great pessimism in the Inter Milan environment, as is normal after suffering a very heavy 5-0 defeat, in the aftermath of the match against PSG in the Champions League final. Furthermore, the future of Simone Inzaghi seems to be completely uncertain, as he will speak with the club to decide whether to continue or not in his role: here are some reasons why Inter should keep the coach and others why they should not.

WHY YES – In his four years at Inter so far, Inzaghi has undoubtedly helped the team grow a lot and brought it back to the top of all competitions, both in Italy and Europe. The Nerazzurri squad has always shown trust in him and has followed him throughout these seasons: furthermore, he deserves credit for having won as many as 6 trophies without any investment from the club, which has always been forced to operate with zero-cost transfers.

WHY NOT – After such a heavy defeat in a Champions League final, perhaps Inter’s squad needs a complete renewal at all levels and to bet on something new. A long series of changes might be necessary, both in terms of players and technical guidance and staff, in order to restart and reset. Mentally, it certainly cannot be easy to start the next season after a year full of great matches but also disappointments for having won zero trophies and lost in this way.
