Here at Passione Inter, we have had the opportunity to get to know and to introduce others who have stood out in the past season, such as Ebenezer Akinsanmiro, Issiaka Kamate, Luca Di Maggio, and Aleksandar Stankovic. Among these, Thomas Berenbruch has also caught our eye, particularly in the pre-season.
Who is Thomas Berenbruch
Thomas Berenbruch was born in Milan on May 31, 2005. He started playing with the Acd Brianza Cernusco Merate, then moved to Renate, a club that has had a long-standing good relationship with Inter. After scouting him, the Nerazzurri decided to buy him and let him stay on loan for a year, then included him in the Under 16 team. From there, he began his journey through the Inter youth ranks. With the Under 17 team, he scored 7 goals and provided 3 assists in twenty-two appearances. Two years ago, he reached double figures with the Under 18 team: 10 goals and 9 assists in twenty-seven matches. These stats earned him a permanent place in the Primavera team. In the last season with the U19, Berenbruch confirmed his goal-scoring knack with 11 goals in all competitions. This new season started off on a high note for him: in addition to his three goals in the Primavera championship, he scored a spectacular brace against Manchester City in the Youth League.

Born in 2005, Thomas Berenbruch could very much represent the future of Inter. Currently, his Transfermarkt valuation is around €700,000, but the expectation is that this could significantly increase by the end of the season. The Italian midfielder is tied to the Nerazzurri club by a contract until June 2028, after the latest extension in February 2024.

Berenbruch is a natural attacking midfielder. Left-footed with a lot of quality, he has always played close to the goal, thanks to his ability to find the net or provide an assist. As with Chivu, he is primarily used as a central midfielder under coach Zanchetta. The play of the Inter Primavera flows from the central midfielders, from their runs and overlaps with the wings in a 4-3-3 formation. With this quality in midfield, everything becomes easier. He also has excellent dribbling skills and can often be seen dancing through the field to reach the edge of the area and look for a goal or the crucial pass.
Berenbruchs future at Inter
Simone Inzaghi, a great appreciator of midfielders, has already noticed him and incorporated him into the first team, as on the occasion of the last summer retreat. The 2005-born player took the opportunity to learn from his idol, Henrikh Mkhitaryan. Berenbruchs growth is clear to all, including the national team manager Corradi, who called him up to the U19 last season. His future is yet to be written, but the goal-scoring midfielder holds the pen and is ready to do so, dreaming of his debut with Inter.
