Jamal Musiala‘s participation lasted just 54 minutes in yesterday evening’s Bundesliga clash between Augsburg and Bayern Munich. The match, unlocked by a goal from the German attacking midfielder himself, ended in a 3-1 victory for Vincent Kompany‘s side.

However, spoiling the evening was the muscular injury sustained by Musiala at the beginning of the second half. The midfielder collapsed onto the pitch holding the hamstring area of his left thigh. The 2003-born player could not continue and was immediately replaced by Muller.

With three days left before the Champions League quarter-final first leg match scheduled in Munich against Inter, Musiala is now added to the extensive list of unavailable players whom Kompany won’t be able to count on.
