There’s a new suitor on the trail of Pio Esposito, the young striker from Inter who is dominating this last season of Serie B . The forward, born in 2005, on loan to Spezia for the second consecutive season, leads the scoring chart with 13 goals scored so far.
The young talent’s formidable growth is much valued by Inter, but he may need a stopover in Serie A before earning a starting spot in the Nerazzurri. In fact, the Inter club’s aim is to grant the boy another loan in the top division next year before bringing him home in the following season.
However, Inter‘s strategy might be disrupted by Torino‘s interest in him. As reported by Tuttosport this morning, the Granata club is on the trail of Pio Esposito. A player that coach Paolo Vanoli is exceptionally fond of, especially for the incredible physical abilities the young forward displays with Spezia.
Torino understands that snatching him from the Nerazzurri club would be a very challenging task, but at the same time, they have some cards to play. As reiterated by the Turin daily, Inter like Ricci, a midfielder who is also on Milan‘s radar. In the course of some transfer market discussions, the two clubs might develop the idea of exchanging two pure talents representing the future of the Italian National team.
Lastly, it’s not out of the question that, faced with a challenging negotiation, Inter might simply agree to a dry loan of Esposito to Torino for the next season.
