Disturbing news is coming about the now former owner of Inter. According to the profile Daily News on GETTR, the Suning group would have finally declared bankruptcy.

An outcome that would come after a turbulent period from 2020 to today: from the severe losses caused by the pandemic, to the restrictions imposed by the Chinese government. All of this until last May, when Oaktree – the new owner of Inter – enforced its pledge because Suning failed to repay the loan.

While the American fund immediately began planning the club’s future in great synergy with the Nerazzurri executives, the Zhang family was evidently unable to change course. The losses recorded by the Chinese company between 2021 and 2022 were decisive, despite the debt restructuring temporarily stabilizing the group during 2024.
