Tonight at 8:45 pm, the postponed match between Fiorentina and Inter will finally take place at the Franchi stadium, counting for the 14th round of the championship. The match was suspended last December 1st at the 17th minute of the first half due to Edoardo Bove’s illness. Due to specific Serie A rules, along with unavailability and transfers, 20 players from both teams will be missing tonight.
The worst-off coach is undoubtedly Raffaele Palladino, who cannot count on 15 players who were originally in the squad or who arrived in the January transfer window. Simone Inzaghi, on the other hand, will have to do without 2 injured players Di Gennaio and Correa, Zalewski who arrived in the last transfer window, and 2 players transferred in January, namely Palacios and Buchanan who were on the bench last December 1st.
Fiorentina tonight will also have to make do without all 5 new signings: Folorunsho, Pablo Marì, Fagioli, Ndour and Zaniolo. Added to them are the 7 players transferred in January, namely Ikoné, Martinez Quarta, Christensen, Kayode, Kouamè, Biraghi and Sottil. Finally, there are 3 unavailable players like Cataldi and Colpani – who are at high risk – and naturally Bove.
The Serie A regulations do not allow new January signings to play in this match. The reason for this lies in the fact that Zalweski and the five new Viola hits were registered for other teams in December when this match started and therefore Palladino and Inzaghi will have to do without them for these remaining 73 minutes of play in tonight’s match.
