Inter has tracked numerous talents for every transfer window, although deals do not always go the way the Nerazzurri club wants. This morning, for example, the well-known agent Federico Pastorello revealed a sensational backstory about this winter session regarding a young Brazilian defender.
We are talking about Vitor Reis, a centre-back born in 2006 who was bought in January by Manchester City. The Citizens had to pay a whopping 37 million euros to Palmeiras, a huge amount for such a young player with no experience in Europe. Yet, on his trail – in addition to the competition from other English clubs – Inter was also interested for a long time.
As admitted by the agent on Radio Sportiva, the Nerazzurri club tried to get him before the price became prohibitive. These are the words of Pastorello: Offers have arrived from all the top European clubs. Inter valued him and considered him a player to try and get, but once the Premier League giants stepped in, the price went through the roof.
