On the last day of the market, Ionut Radu officially said goodbye to Inter, moving definitively to Venezia. The last defender, whose contract would have expired at the end of the season, left the black and blue club 13 years after his arrival. A very long adventure full of numerous successes at the youth level, many loans, but above all that very tough memory linked to the mistake made in Bologna in the year of the championship then won by Milan.
A real nightmare that Radu, three years later, seems to have not yet removed. This is his long and touching farewell to Inter:
“The road was long… I arrived in 2012 with a big dream. We won almost everything in the youth sector and when I was 18 the doors of the first team opened up to me! I always wanted a different ending, but in life things don’t always go as we dream. 12 years of emotions, positive and negative, during which I had the honor to share the locker room with some exceptional boys. Champions on the field, great men off. Many thanks to all of you for never making me feel alone in the darkest moments. There is a memory that unfortunately has haunted me so much and, believe me, I do not wish it on anyone else in the world who plays this role!! It will seem like a cliché, but it is really true that the hardest moments are the ones that strengthen you. After many fair criticisms and an obvious and justified silence, I will try to prove my real value elsewhere. I am determined and motivated to continue my journey and start a new chapter in my life. I wish my teammates , the company and all the black and blue fans the best luck and success. I will always carry Inter in my heart! Thanks.
