Simone Inzaghi’s words at the press conference on the eve of Sparta Prague-Inter:
SEASON – “I don’t like it when people talk about me, when they talk, they should talk about Inter and my players who are having an excellent journey. We must do what we are doing, a great path in the Champions League and the championship where we want to be protagonists until the end. We want to defend the championship with all our might, knowing that we have competitive opponents like Napoli and Atalanta. In the Champions League we want to be the main players as we have been in the past few years, it’s in Inter’s DNA, trying to play as many games as possible without creating problems and excuses. There are many games, it’s true, but as a coach I love doing it. I have no doubt when I’m on the field, any player I put in gives me tremendous help, I need everyone because it’s not easy to play every 48/72 hours, but as we do, so do many other teams”.
FRATTESI – “Davide has been training very well for the past two days. He wasn’t available against Empoli even though he wanted to be on the bench. He’s done so well that I have to decide whether to start with him or Barella who’s been playing from the start for 7 games. But if he won’t play from the start, he’ll give us a hand during the game. I’m happy because he’s been training very well for the past two days, regardless of rumors he’s calm and he enjoys being in the group, watching him work as he’s been doing for the past two days makes me hopeful for tomorrow’s game”.
BUCHANAN – Does he want to leave? I asked all the boys when we had a chat together if there was anyone who wasn’t satisfied, but not about the environment, because everyone fits in well. No one has told me they would prefer to change and this also applies to Buchanan. He’s back from a significant injury and he’s training very well, then he has to be good at carving out an important space for himself.
