Visiting Genova for the 10th edition of the Gazzetta Awards, Beppe Marotta spoke at length about the first half of Inter’s season, its seasonal goals, and Simone Inzaghi’s role in the team’s growth.

START OF THE SEASON – The concept that a culture of work and competence always leads to improvement applies well to this start of the season. That’s why I’m not amazed that Inter has grown compared to the past.
GOALS – We must not get excited, but the signs so far are very positive. Personally, I was confident that the team would continue on the path set in previous seasons and that there would be progress. Now that these improvements have become reality, we must not stop, but move forward and work even harder. To grow even bigger. Before the end of the first half of the season, teams that are a few points behind cannot be ruled out of the race for the championship.
INZAGHI – When he came to Inter he was good, but he has now become very good. He has added day by day to his great abilities, gaining experience that has increased his value. Simone has the advantage of having been a footballer, of knowing the locker room and the dynamics inside. The turnover? He uses it well and greatly values the group we have. He is among the best coaches around and we are happy he is with us.
