For some time now, Arrigo Sacchi has definitely changed his opinion on Inter. What up to a year ago were mostly criticisms of the Nerazzurri’s game, have turned into comments of great appreciation towards the football proposed by the team coached by Simone Inzaghi.
Interviewed this morning on the pages of La Gazzetta dello Sport, Sacchi pointed out Inter as one of the main candidates to win everything this season, including the Club World Cup: It will be played at the end of the season, the athletes will surely be tired. It will take a targeted preparation. The long journeys will not allow training during the period of the event. However, I see Inter very well. Both for the league title, the Champions League and the Club World Cup.
INTER COMPLETE – But have you seen the team they have? In Simone Inzaghi’s group there is a lot of quality, there is experience, there is physical strength. And behind it there is a solid society that supports the coach’s work. I say they can win the World Cup.
WORLD HAZARDS – Energy at the end of the season? This is true, but then there are a couple of weeks to reset everything and start over. Inter is a complete team and it is proving it: it is solid in defense, has a fantastic midfield and an attack that participates in the game and scores regularly. The problem of the Club World Cup, I repeat, is represented by the climate and travel. If these two factors are neutralized, the Nerazzurri are destined to go far. And the American ownership would be very happy, which is looking at this tournament with great interest.
