Yesterday’s postponement and subsequent rescheduling of the match between Fiorentina and Inter has raised a question that won’t be easy to answer quickly. As already reported in these columns yesterday, it’s difficult to determine a date for the rescheduling of this match right now.
However, a meeting is scheduled today among the leadership of Italian football: an extraordinary council meeting of the Serie A League is planned, in which all the hypotheses for the rescheduling of this match at the Franchi will be among the topics of the day.
Inter and Fiorentina are also two teams engaged in the European cups which poses a problem for the scheduling of the rescheduled match. If both manage to qualify directly to the knockout stages, respectively in the Champions League and the Conference League, they would not at least play the playoff round, and therefore a window for rescheduling this match could potentially be opened, in which there will be new regulations.
