On his YouTube channel, Caressa dedicated an analysis to Inter‘s victory against Parma, starting with a clear judgment on the Nerazzurri team: «When they play 20-25 minutes like I saw them do against Parma, who surrendered, they are unplayable: in those 25 minutes they are unplayable».
The journalist then outlined the path that Chivu would be trying to undertake: «He is trying to bring more intensity to the team in ball recovery, keep the defense higher and become more European because he wants to do well in the Champions League». In this direction, according to Caressa, an important contribution comes from Diouf: «He has found a player with legs like him who makes the difference in Europe».
On the squad management front, the journalist notes how the coach is increasing the minutes of the so-called reserves, moving away from the rigid rotation seen previously: «Chivu is not trying to return to Inzaghi‘s arithmetic rotation, but the minutes of the so-called reserves are increasing: he is relying on more players». However, there are still some situations yet to be unlocked: «He hasn’t gotten enough yet from Jones and Spence. Stones is another matter and will give what he can because he has had physical problems for years».
The perspective that Caressa outlines is clear: if Inter managed to maintain for sixty minutes the intensity that today they express only for a quarter of an hour, the leap in quality would be significant. «Then they really become a candidate to do very well also in the Champions League: Chivu is very good and is working on it. On some things he has already succeeded, on others it will take time to give more playing time to everyone».
