A few minutes before the kick-off of Inter–Parma, Mariano Troilo answered questions from DAZN at San Siro. The yellow-blue defender analyzed the match with clarity: “The coach gave us peace of mind, we worked for three weeks. Inter is top of the table, it will be difficult but we will focus on our own things.”
On the direct clash with Pio Esposito, Troilo did not hide his appreciation for the challenge: “We know that Inter has strong forwards, Pio is strong but so are Thuram and Lautaro. I like marking physically strong forwards, it’s always nice.”
The inevitable question about the tensions with Barella last season also came up. The defender dismissed the episode without regrets: “What happened last year is part of the past, we were trying to save ourselves, they were about to become champions.”
