While Juventus is trying to speed things up with an offer to be presented as early as January, Inter has already initiated the first contacts for Alessandro Romano, midfielder of Cagliari. This is reported by Calciomercato.com, which reconstructs the picture of negotiations around the player.
According to the outlet, the Nerazzurri were the first Italian team to contact both the Sardinian club and the player’s agent, with the aim of receiving a complete report on Romano and the conditions for a possible transfer. The interest is described as concrete, but projected for next season: before making a decisive move, Baccin and the rest of the transfer team want to understand what the future holds for Calhanoglu and Stankovic.
On the Cagliari side, owner Giulini and Pisacane intend to maximize the value of their technical and economic assets. The intention would be to start listening to offers only from next summer. The Sardinian club had purchased Romano for 6.5 million euros plus bonuses after a positive season with Spezia.
Juventus, however, wants to get ahead and is reportedly preparing an offer between 23 and 25 million euros to try to close the deal as early as January. According to Calciomercato.com, that amount might not be enough, but the Bianconeri are determined to insist. Inter, for its part, remains observant with a perspective more oriented towards the medium term.
