According to Il Giorno, Francesco Acerbi and Matteo Darmian are still looking for a team. The two defenders were released by Inter last June, at the natural expiration of their contracts, and since then have been seeking an opportunity for what could be the last experience of their careers.

For the former Lazio center-back, a move to Al-Hilal in Saudi Arabia seemed close, but the deal did not materialize. Afterwards, Genoa, Monza, Torino, Sassuolo, Bologna, and even Lazio itself showed interest. The full-back who came through Milan‘s youth system, on the other hand, is said to have had contacts with Roma.

Despite the various options on the table, none of the negotiations have been successful. Both players are currently without a contract and are waiting for developments regarding their future.
