At the microphones of TMW Radio, Simone Braglia took a stand on the situation of Josep Martinez at Inter, urging patience with the Nerazzurri goalkeeper after recent difficulties. The former goalkeeper defended the Spaniard from criticism, emphasizing that it takes time to adapt to a club of this level.
“Should Provedel play? I don’t agree. To play for Inter you also need time and to gain experience. Judging a player based on one match is too easy. It’s true that he made mistakes, errors of presumption in Madrid and technical mistakes against Udinese, but Martinez can be up to the task, he just needs time to prove it. He needs time to iron out his flaws,” Braglia said to the radio station.
The former goalkeeper then broadened the discussion to the battle at the top of Serie A, naming Como as one of the teams to watch. “Commentators are not considering Como right now, but they have a clear identity and quality of play. Como should be considered an antagonist to Inter, on the same level as Roma. In terms of quality and more, Inter are ahead, but Roma and Como are just below,” he concluded.
