Shortly before the kick-off of Inter–Udinese, Nicolò Barella spoke to the microphones of Dazn to comment on the team’s current form and the value of Inter’s midfield. Number 23 analyzed the recent Champions League defeat and praised his midfield partner.
“It would have been better to analyze a win and not a defeat. We played against one of the strongest teams in the world and we played openly. The Champions League is a matter of details and they were better at it. We analyzed it and today we will try to bring the match to our side,” said the Inter midfielder.
Asked about his role as a regular starter, Barella highlighted the overall quality of the midfield: “I don’t know, those are the coach’s decisions. There will come a time when I’ll sit on the bench. The midfield has incredible quality, there are mechanisms that I and others know better, the new players need time, Jones is a player who raises the level, he’s a champion, sometimes maybe he’ll play instead of me.”
