Inter is preparing to face Udinese at San Siro with a precise plan. According to Corriere dello Sport, there will be little room for rotation, considering the tight schedule that will see the Nerazzurri immediately engaged against Roma afterwards.
Compared to last year, when Udinese surprisingly defeated the Milanese side, the situation has changed dramatically. That defeat was interpreted as a negative sign for the season, but Cristian Chivu and his boys now face Runjaic’s team with two more trophies. This time, the team has benefited from six days of rest instead of the usual 72 hours, an advantage that has allowed them to recover both physically and mentally.
The schedule offers an opportunity: if Inter were to win against the Friulians and Roma also managed to do the same, next Saturday at the Olimpico there would be a direct clash between two teams with a perfect record. For this reason, there will be little room for rotation, as the sports daily points out.
There is also the need to give playing time to those who returned late from summer training and still need to find their best condition. Chivu will have to balance managing his squad’s energy and maintaining continuity, with the aim of keeping up the pace in the standings and arriving in the best shape for the match in Rome.
