This is the opinion expressed by Alessandro Del Piero in the Sky studios, where the former Juventus captain analyzed the ambitions of Serie A’s top teams in the most prestigious European competition.

Asked about Napoli, Del Piero drew a clear distinction: “Napoli? It is not a team built to win the Champions League. Of the Italian teams, only Inter is built to win the Champions League.” An assessment that places the Nerazzurri on a different level compared to the other Italian representatives, recognizing that the Milanese side has a structure suited to continental objectives.

Regarding the Neapolitan club, the former number 10 added a clarification that softens the judgment: “Napoli is missing a few players today, but it is not far from its objectives.” An observation that, while acknowledging some gaps in the squad, does not rule out the Campania team from the fight for ambitious goals during the season.
