Serie A has invested a total of 1.12 billion euros in the summer transfer market, a significant figure that, however, does not change the balance at the top. According to the Corriere della Sera, Inter remains the team to beat for the Scudetto, boasting a squad that has been further strengthened.
The Nerazzurri have welcomed three English players: Curtis Jones, Djed Spence, and John Stones. These additions have brought quality and depth to an already competitive squad, which can now face the season on multiple fronts, aiming for a second consecutive league title and to make an impact in the Champions League. The European cup, which kicks off next week, will be one of the decisive variables in the title race.
The rivals have nonetheless tried to close the gap through important, and in some cases particularly expensive, transfer moves. From Gonçalo Ramos to Rodrigo Mora, from Nick Woltemade to Moise Kean, no club has stood still.
Milan and Juventus have led the investment rankings with 165 and 164 million euros respectively. Even more significant, however, is the balance between income and expenditure: the Bianconeri record a deficit of 137 million, followed by Fiorentina at -122, Roma at -103, and the Rossoneri at -78 million.
