Yann Bisseck closed the round of interviews in the press room at San Siro after the 4-1 victory against Monza. The German defender also found the net on a positive evening. “In the first half, after the 1-0, we didn’t play our best game. But that’s normal, it’s the debut. In the second half we put in a great performance. My goal? You also need a bit of luck, I’m happy to have helped the team. It was a good night for everyone.”
Asked about the arrival of new competitors for his position, Bisseck responded firmly: “I have always had a lot of confidence in myself. I’m not the biggest name in this squad, it’s normal that my name gets ‘forgotten’. Competition motivates me, it makes me play better. I have worked hard these three years to play for Inter. If they want to take my place, they’ll have to kill me.”
The defender then spoke about the group and the atmosphere: “We are a great team, also on a human level. It’s very easy for young players to settle in, the older ones always help. I’m not surprised that Bonny and Esposito can show what they’re worth. All the players are on the right path.”
Finally, a comment on Pavard: “That’s not my business. For me, it’s important to have players who give everything for the team, Benji is strong. He’s won everything, he can be important for us. In the end, Chivu decides.”
