Fabrizio Romano gave an update on the latest transfer market issues related to Inter during an appearance on YouTube together with Matteo Moretto. The journalist clarified the club’s position on several fronts, with particular attention to the future of Aleksandar Stankovic and some rumors involving international profiles.
On the young Nerazzurri midfielder, Romano explained: “There has been a lot of talk about the future of Aleksandar Stankovic, after the closing of the Curtis Jones deal. Stankovic cares a lot about the Inter shirt and wants to prove himself and succeed wearing these colors. But also on the club’s side, as far as I know, the intention is to continue together. I have checked and asked, there are teams like Torino and other clubs, but as of today the intention seems to be to continue together.”
As for Leonardo Bovio, Inter’s eighteen-year-old defender, the journalist announced that tomorrow he will sign the new contract. The boy will renew and could subsequently be loaned out, with the club deciding in the last days of the transfer window whether to keep him in the squad or let him develop elsewhere.
Romano also commented on some transfer rumors that have involved the Nerazzurri in recent hours. On Gabriel Martinelli, the transfer expert was clear: “Today he earns a lot. If Arsenal sells him, it will be a permanent deal for 45-50 million, it’s not a deal they do on loan paying 2-3 million in wages. Thinking about Italian clubs, when there are clubs like Al Hilal that can spend so much, is difficult.”
Even more definitive was the closure on Marcus Rashford: “Someone even mentioned Rashford: forget it, he earns 12 million euros net at Manchester United, it’s unthinkable as a deal in Italy.”
