A double transfer coup could represent yet another high-level operation for Piero Ausilio. This is supported by journalist Sandro Sabatini, who dedicated ample space to the nerazzurro executive on his YouTube channel.
Ausilio’s contract expires in 2027, but Sabatini believes that the time has come for the executive to leave: “I repeat that no story is endless, Moratti told me that everything in life is on loan,” explained the journalist. This reflection does not take away from the merits accumulated over the years: “In football, I always like to say that it’s better this way or that way: for me, he is the best Italian sporting director and Marotta’s success depends on Piero Ausilio.”
According to Sabatini, the true greatness of the executive lies in his ability to balance sporting results and financial stability. The journalist recalled how, during the Thohir era and the early years of Zhang, Ausilio became the main target of criticism, while Branca retired. Today, however, he represents the secret of Inter.
The operation that could be a masterpiece concerns the sale of Luis Henrique for 30 million and the arrival of Curtis Jones. “If he completes the outgoing deal for Luis Henrique earning 30 million and brings in Curtis Jones, guys, it’s a masterpiece,” declared Sabatini. Such a deal would make Inter a European-level team, among the top four in the Champions League, and would keep the finances in order.
