Liverpool now seems resigned to the departure of Curtis Jones, with Inter ready to make a decisive offer to bring the midfielder to Milan. According to Tuttosport, the Reds are convinced of the player’s exit, as he is considered on the fringes of the technical project and with his contract expiring in ten months.
The absences of Jones in recent friendlies, justified by more or less significant physical problems, have further fueled the belief that the transfer will go through. The English club prefers to cash in now rather than lose the player on a free transfer next summer.
The Nerazzurri have adopted a wait-and-see strategy, similar to the one used for the Spence deal, waiting for Liverpool to lower their financial demands. The move seems to be paying off: starting from a valuation of 40 million euros, the Reds could now settle for a total of 35 million.
In Milan, they are considering a proposal similar to the one made to Tottenham for Spence: 30 plus 5. An amount that comes close to the English club’s expectations and could prove decisive in closing the deal.
