Djed Spence completed all the steps of his move to Inter on Friday. The English winger, who landed in Milan during the night between Thursday and Friday at Linate airport, underwent his medical examinations in the morning at Humanitas in Rozzano and then obtained his sports eligibility at Coni. All the tests gave positive results, with no issues.
In the afternoon, the player went to the Nerazzurri headquarters in Viale della Liberazione, where he met president Beppe Marotta and sporting director Piero Ausilio. Spence then signed the contract that ties him to the club until 2031, with a salary of about 3 million euros per year. The official announcement was slightly delayed due to bureaucratic reasons, but the agreement is now finalized.
The Englishman will spend Ferragosto in Milan before returning to London to complete the paperwork for his work permit, required under the agreements between the United Kingdom and Italy. His integration into the group led by Chivu is scheduled for next week.
The Nerazzurri coach intends to test him on both flanks, not just on the right wing, to make use of his versatility. For the new arrival, the Italian adventure officially begins, with the goal of quickly earning a place in Chivu’s lineup.
