Tulio Tinti clarified the future of Alessandro Bastoni after the recent rumors linking the defender to Al-Hilal. The agent of the Nerazzurri center-back spoke to Sky Sport, ruling out an imminent departure but without completely closing the door.

“My players and I generally respect contracts. He still has two years left on his contract, he is a huge Inter fan, he is in love, today he is not thinking about going to another club. Then, if there are clubs interested that satisfy both the player and Inter, we can start talking. As of today, however, all this talk is not yet enough to start a serious negotiation,” Tinti said.

The agent then addressed the topic of the possible temptation to leave Italy: “Has he ever thought about leaving Italy? I don’t think so, maybe I would have thought about it if I were in his shoes. He might have thought about it too, it was such a situation, from the injustice with Juventus because of a wrong rule… The real problem is the wrong rules, it would have been enough to just remove the card and nothing would have happened. The boy has great personality and is in love with the Inter shirt. In life there are good moments and not only those, he managed with great difficulty on a human level to come out of it well though.”

Tinti then shifted the focus to the topic of young Italian talents: “I often go to watch the youngsters, there are talented boys but they get lost because they can’t move up the ranks. We don’t let the young players follow their path. It’s no coincidence that when the Growth Decree was introduced, there was a benefit: it was created to bring Italians back to us, like Matteo Darmian from United. The problem is that it was extended to foreigners. Once, the boys coming out of the Primavera teams would go to Serie B or C, today this path has been erased. Unfortunately, this started a long time ago. We need to redo everything a bit, but it’s not that there aren’t talented boys.”

Finally, a comment on Andrea Pirlo and the Juve bench: “The numbers say he did better than the coaches who came after him at Juve, even though very good coaches arrived. The numbers say this, he finished fourth and then won the Coppa Italia and the Italian Super Cup. Surely Paolo Maldini and Andrea Pirlo talk often, I imagine they have spoken. I certainly did not take part in this meeting.”
