Como is about to complete one of the most significant signings of the summer session, after experiencing a historic season that will remain etched in the club’s memory. The team led by Fabregas has reached an agreement with Chelsea for the purchase of Trevoh Chalobah, an English defender born in 1999, in a deal that will total 32 million euros including fixed fee and bonuses, according to La Provincia di Como.
There was also interest from Inter in the center-back, but the Larian club managed to prevail, closing the deal. The investment confirms the ambitions of the project, aimed at strengthening the defensive department with a player of international caliber.
Raised in Chelsea’s youth academy, Chalobah completed his development through loans to Ipswich Town, Huddersfield Town, Lorient, and Crystal Palace, before earning a place in the Blues’ first team. He can play both as a center-back and on the right flank, a characteristic that increases his tactical versatility.
Born in Sierra Leone and moved to England as a child, he holds British citizenship. In June 2025, he made his debut with the England senior national team. Now a new adventure awaits him in Serie A, with Como aiming to establish itself among the top teams in the Italian league.
