Inter has decided to bring Aleksandar Stankovic back to Milan next season. The performances of the Serbian midfielder with Bruges have convinced the Nerazzurri management to exercise the buy-back clause set at 23 million euros for summer 2026.

The twenty-year-old, son of Deki, is experiencing a season of great growth in Belgium. After a positive first experience at Lucerne, last July he was sold to Club Bruges for 9.5 million. After overcoming the initial adaptation period, he has become a central element of the team, collecting so far 37 appearances with 7 goals and 4 assists.

According to Tuttosport, his performances have attracted the attention of several top European clubs, including Chelsea, Arsenal, Dortmund, and reportedly also Atletico Madrid. However, control of the situation remains in Inter’s hands. When Marotta and Ausilio sold him, they retained a buy-back clause of 23 million for summer 2026 and 25 for 2027, as well as a percentage on any future resale of around 15%.

The Nerazzurri club does not intend to wait: in the summer it will invest the 23 million provided to bring him back to Milan, with a net outlay of about 13.5 million considering what was received in the last summer session. The player will then be made available to Chivu, aware of having a talent with great potential in the squad.

Offers of 35-40 million for the Serbian cannot be ruled out, which is why Inter will bring him back home anyway and then evaluate what to do. Giving up such an asset seems difficult at the moment.
