As a guest at the “Italian Sports Day in the World”, held in New York, Alejandro Cano spoke about the stadium project. During the event, which was attended by several Serie A club presidents, the Oaktree executive wanted to reaffirm what Inter’s strategy should be in relation to the construction of a new stadium.
These were his words:
“We are aware that, to compete with the top European clubs, owning a stadium is fundamental.”
In recent weeks, there has been a rapprochement between Inter and Milan regarding the possibility of building a shared facility in the San Siro area, after the idea of an independent stadium in the Rozzano area had taken hold with the previous ownership.
