Appearing as a guest on TvPlay.it, the sporting director of Udinese, Gianluca Nani, once again discussed Inter’s summer interest in Jaka Bijol, explaining how the negotiation did not ultimately succeed.

These were his words:

“There was no disturbance from Marotta and Ausilio, even with negotiations that don’t work out. Thank them for their interest? For goodness’ sake, Bijol is a player who also showed his worth at the European Championship, he’s a strong central defender and attracts the attention of many clubs abroad. We did not consider the possibility of his sale. Bijol is an excellent footballer and it’s normal that big clubs approach him. He’s super focused on the project, he has a great character and is also a fantastic person in the dressing room. It was easy to overlook this and move on.”
