Just over an hour from the Champions League debut, Simone Inzaghi spoke to Prime Video to comment on the upcoming Manchester City-Inter, also revealing the starting lineup of the Nerazzurri.
Here are his words:
APPROACH – “The last thing I told the team? Play our game. We know who we will face, what we have to do and the difficulties of this stadium. But we have prepared in the best way.”
WHAT TO DO – “Inter will have to have personality. We will have to be good at managing the ball in the best possible way when we have it.”
STARTING ELEVEN – “The starting lineup? Sommer in goal, Bisseck, Acerbi, Bastoni, Darmian, Carlos Augusto, Calhanoglu, Barella, Zielinski, Thuram, Taremi. Where did it come from? Choices were made. Lautaro came from a series of games, with also long trips and he did not train much. Taremi can help us. I liked Zielinski’s entry in Monza. But I will need everything.”
